"I AM HERE NOW"

This project is a photographic voyage through my own life where I'm trying to rediscover my own identity and self-image as a woman after being a mother.

My work during the year 2013-2014 at Atelier Smedsby began with a simple question: What is desire for me? After being a mother I forgot it. And I became a stranger to myself. When I began photographing it was like an explosion - it was a culmination of a very difficult period in my life. Then I had a long period where I felted empty. I was not able to take my camera and photograph, so I let time pass. I began dreaming and decided to go back home. I've returned to the landscape of my childhood and began to photograph my memories.

"I'm here now" is a work in progress and I still have a lot of photographs to make, so I'm continuing my work on this project.
